Let's Connect in Burlingame

This summit is built for small and mid-sized trial sponsors, and the organizer holds a two to one or better ratio of sponsors to solution providers to keep it that way. Clinical operations leads, programme directors and chief executives from companies like Corcept Therapeutics, Terns Pharmaceuticals, Glycyx Therapeutics and Genentech are on the published speaker list. These are exactly the teams we support, and we provide industry-leading solutions across the entire connected sample supply chain. Kit design and fulfillment, kit-to-patient and direct-to-patient distribution, medical courier including STAT and next-flight-out, cold chain, biostorage, mobile phlebotomy and LIS and LIMS integration. We're looking forward to talking about how a lean team gets all of that running without adding headcount.

We often find during these events that the diary fills up quickly. Use the form and we'll block a time for you to meet our team while availability lasts.

Why Attend COG: Small and Mid BioPharma Summit 2026?

November 18–19, 2026Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport, Burlingame, CA, USA

The organizer describes the Bay Area as "the hotbed of clinical research in the US" and the summit as bringing together a significant share of the region's trial sponsors. COG is the Clinical Outsourcing Group, run by the Pharmaceutical Business Conference Group, and this event is a 2026 rebrand of COG Bay Area aimed specifically at small and mid-sized sponsors.

1

The format is what shapes it: The organizer publishes a two to one or better audience-to-sponsor ratio and frames the event around "meaningful conversations" rather than a large exhibition floor, across two days under one roof with networking breaks and an evening drinks reception.

2

Six content threads for 2026: Published content highlights are operational excellence for small and emerging biotech, strategic outsourcing and CRO selection, patient centricity and recruitment success, technology, innovation and AI, site selection, collaboration and activation, and strategic pipeline management and financial planning.

3

Complimentary passes for trial sponsors: Delegate passes are complimentary for qualifying trial sponsors. The organizer states that complimentary passes are exclusively for pharma, biotech and medical device companies who are trial sponsors, and that a pass is not confirmed until the confirmation email arrives.

Why Meet with DS2?

Small and mid-sized sponsors run lean, and clinical logistics is one of the areas where that shows fastest. Kits, couriers, storage, at-home collection and data integration can easily become five relationships to manage instead of one. DS2 runs the whole path, which keeps the coordination on our side rather than on a clinical operations team that already has plenty to hold. What we do:

  • Diagnostic and specimen collection kit design, assembly and fulfillment
  • Kit-to-patient and direct-to-patient distribution
  • Medical courier services, including STAT and next-flight-out specimen transport
  • Cold chain and temperature-controlled logistics, with the documentation to prove the range held
  • Biostorage and biorepository services
  • Mobile phlebotomy and specimen collection
  • LIS, LIMS and EMR integration, including HL7 and FHIR
  • Chain of custody and compliance documentation

One partner for kit build, distribution, courier, cold chain, biostorage, mobile phlebotomy and integration. We're looking forward to getting into the practical detail of that in Burlingame.
