Why Attend BIONATION 2026?
BIOTECanada positions BIONATION as "a platform for a national dialogue on the achievements and developments of the biotechnology ecosystem in Canada," created in 2020 and run through events, policy resources and connections to government.
Four threads for 2026: The 2026 programme centres on four threads the organizer names directly: building biotech companies in Canada, AI applications across the life sciences, mobilizing institutional capital, and Canada's role in dual-use innovation.
A single stream, not tracks: It runs as a single stream of five panels plus a keynote and the Gold Leaf Awards reception, so everyone follows the same conversation across the day and a half rather than splitting across tracks.
Invitation-based attendance: Attendance is invitation-based. The organizer's call to action is "Request an Invitation," and no public eligibility criteria or pricing are published, so it is worth submitting the request early if you plan to attend.
Why Meet with DS2?
Canadian biotechs scale into a supply chain that has to work at home and across the border at the same time. Provincial distribution, customs, bilingual materials and documentation that satisfies Health Canada and the FDA both. DS2 builds and runs that layer, so a growing programme does not have to assemble it supplier by supplier. What we do:

September 22 and 23, 2026, at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. Day one starts at 1:00 PM and day two runs from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
BIOTECanada describes Canada's biotechnology and life sciences leaders alongside policymakers, elected officials and sector partners.
Send the form. It is a compact programme in a single room, so the break, the awards reception and the lunch are all good moments to talk.

Registration & travel
Attendance is invitation-based. Submit the request form on the official BIONATION registration page. BIOTECanada publishes no rate card, no tiers and no early-bird deadline; the registration page is a bilingual request form capturing name, title, organization, email and phone. The call to action on the official page is "Request an Invitation."
BIOTECanada does not publish pricing. Cost is handled through the invitation request rather than a public rate card. No eligibility criteria are published, and no cancellation policy is stated. BIOTECanada membership information is published separately if that is relevant to your organization.
No room block is published for this event, so accommodation is arranged independently. The National Arts Centre sits in central Ottawa with plenty of options nearby. BIOTECanada names the venue and city on every BIONATION page but does not publish a street address, and no room block, hotel rate or booking link is published for the event.
